Academic Collaborations
Through academic collaborations, the NYGC seeks to cultivate research projects to create and apply novel genomic technologies to uncover the molecular mechanisms underlying disease, and harness these genetic discoveries to advance biomedical research and accelerate the broad adoption and global implementation of precision medicine. Leveraging strengths in genomic technology innovation and data analysis, the NYGC collaborates to generate, manage, and interpret genomic data to drive scientific progress with a focus on the broad sharing of ideas and information through open resources, data warehousing, and equitable, interdisciplinary training.
The NYGC conducts research in collaboration with our member institutions and other leaders in academia and industry worldwide. The Center also leads disease-specific consortia open to additional academic and industry partners. We welcome collaborations with academic and clinical institutions to advance clinically actionable genomics.
