Neville Sanjana, PhD, Core Faculty Member at the New York Genome Center, Assistant Professor of Biology, New York University, and Assistant Professor of Neuroscience and Physiology at NYU School of Medicine, has been named “Leichtung Family Investigator” by the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation, additional recognition that follows his receiving the Foundation’s Young Investigator Award to support his research last year.
Dr. Sanjana earned this honor by being selected for the Foundation’s Research Partners Program, which offers its most generous supporters the opportunity to designate their gift to a specific scientist based on interest in a particular research topic, institution or geographical area. Dr. Sanjana’s award has been funded by Carole and Marvin Leichtung, and in Foundation publications and writings, Dr. Sanjana will be known as the “Leichtung Family Investigator.”
