Anthony B. Evnin, PhD

Board Member, NYGC Former Partner, Venrock

Anthony (Tony) B. Evnin joined Venrock in 1974 and built the firm’s healthcare franchise, helping to shape the modern biotechnology industry until his retirement in 2021. He serves as a member of the Boards of Overseers and Managers of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center; as a Trustee Emeritus of The Rockefeller University, Princeton University, and The Jackson Laboratory; as a director of the New York Genome Center; and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Lasker Foundation and chair of its Board since 2018. Evnin received his AB in Chemistry from Princeton University and his PhD in chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
