Patty Weisenfeld is the Vice President for Family Giving at the Simons Foundation, where she works with the Board,grantees and members of the community to manage and enhance the impact of the Simons family’s philanthropic efforts and the discretionary grant making of the foundation. Patty brings a broad range of experience in public health, with a focus on reproductive and sexual health and rights. Prior to joining the staff in March 2008, she spent more than ten years in Southeast Asia, serving as Deputy Country Representative for Pathfinder International in Viet Nam and as a  Senior Technical Advisor for  Planned Parenthood Federation of America, the Asian Development Bank,  UNDP, UNFPA and the World Health Organization offices in  Myanmar and Viet Nam.  Previously, she had served as Vice President of Operations at Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic (New York) and Director, Women and Development at InterAction (New York & Washington DC). Patty holds a B.A. in Political Science from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and a Master’s of Public Administration from New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service.
